ABITARE - Multi-Brands stores for Luxury Italian Design.
Located in the Dcota Design Center of the Americas, in Dania Beach, just north of Miami, offers excellent Italian quality displayed in different Showrooms.
The ambience is fascinating, and the presentation of the products is always up to date and accurate, rich of details and selected accessories.
Abitare has a strong image identity, coming from the dynamic personality and many-sided skills of its owner, Nicola, and from a long family tradition in the furniture business in Italy.
It has been a long story; it has been an Italian story of family business, dating all the way back to 1937.
2015 – Abitare opens in few months: Versace Home, then Abitare-Modern, then Formitalia d. Now the much enlarged selection of Italian Design is well divided between the Showrooms in building C of the Dcota. Several displays in building A, B and C are also prepared, to better serve all of Abitare’s clientele. Several new furniture lines are added: Aston Martin, Tonino Lamborghini Casa, Rosenthal, Minotti Italia, Inedito Milano, I Dogi, Ceccotti Collezioni, and more...
2014 – The Miami Design District undergoes a massive transformation and Construction-Phase to bring the area to a new ‘Fashion Oriented’ destination. After 14 years in this part of town, is now time for Abitare to move on to a better and more dedicated place: the Dcota.
2013 - Abitare Usa is now dedicating a part of the Showroom to one of the most famous and Iconic Italian names in Fashion: Versace. The Versace Home collection of furniture, lights, accessories, wall paper, bathroom, tiles, dinnerware, and fabrics, is now on display for the first time in the full-service Versace Home Miami store.
2012 - A record-setting year in sales since first opening in Miami in 1998. Clear demonstration that 'no matter what the Economy dictates', if you give clients the Service they deserve, you will be remunerated. We want to thank all of our clients for continuing to believe in us.
2011 - Our Showroom is upgraded from A business to the highest possible ranking in the Better Business Bureau: A+. Only a few selected businesses are given such an honor, and we are proud of continuing with the excellent Customer Service that has been our 'Trademark' for so many years.
2010 - New furniture lines added to our collections are: Enrico Pellizzoni, Foscarini, Gallotti & Radice, Vibieffe Italia.
2009 - Even during an Economic Recession that is affecting all sort of businesses, Abitare keeps growing and improving. The Miami Design District Showroom just underwent a massive remodeling to show the latest Italian lines of furniture. A large display of sliding systems is now a main part of the already impressive display.
2008 - Abitare and Lavazza are partners. The first furniture-coffee maker partnership of the U.S. has brought a new In-store Bar with one of the best selection of Italian Espresso. The Bar offers coffee and cappuccino to the clients that come to the Showroom, in a very relaxed and friendly environment.
2006 - The enthusiasm is still the same, the experience of the American Market is stronger. The future has just started.
2001 - The decision to move into a bigger space in the Design District . Business grows bigger and bigger and the organization gets more complicated but at the same time more efficient. The connection with the Italian Company is now very important to guarantee the best service for the customer satisfaction.
1998 - An American adventure begins. Nicola leaves Italy to follow his dream, to start his own business, supported and encouraged by his family, but building himself the success of his future. The first store is opened on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. Just over 2,000 square feet of Modern Italian furniture lines are displayed.
1997 - It’s time for a new generation to come in and this is how the story goes on………
1992 - Another store is opened in Borgomanero. A new loft style in the historical center of a small ancient town.
1978 - A new store is opened in Novara with the innovative idea for Italy to give more importance to accessories and life style.
1967 - Modern style has its first official presentation at the "Saloni" at the International Trade Fair in Milan. The Luciano Martelli Company is one of the pioneers of the new style.
1960 - The Company is the first one in Italy to import pieces of furniture from Denmark: it is the first introduction of the idea of a modern design style in home decoration
1957 - The first big store is built.
1937 - 1957 from a workshop of springs and mattresses, and from delivering with a tricycle, to the purchase of the first truck; the transformation into a new business of furniture trade, made by Luciano Martelli , Nicola’s grandfather, and his brother. Twenty years and surviving World War II: that what it took to get it started.
